Intergenerational Trauma (IGT) is trauma that occurred before you were biologically formed in your mother's womb.
This trauma often does not have episodic memory in the body. It becomes part of implicit memory because it is not stored in the analytical brain.
In simple terms, many setbacks in life are not only from your direct lived experiences, but from unresolved experiences carried by ancestors you may never have met.
